This is a discussion site for K-12 ELA curriculum leaders and administrators to discuss our ELA philosophy statement. The version I put up here is basically the one we all worked together on during the last CIALC meeting. Sy and I added the "human condition" aspect to this during the last meeting.

Please use this to suggest changes, additions, take shots at me, etc.

Attitudes About Writing: Approaches For Every Class. We’ve all heard say “this isn’t English class, why do I have to write?” This class will help you explain why they need to write and help them write better. You will leave with effective strategies and means of communicating with students about this. We will demonstrate ways to use available technology as a part of this process. Bring a lesson or an idea that we can help you develop.
